This week
I haven't posted much this week because my mom is visiting this week. It's been fun having her here. I'm also a little bummed that I didn't get on a DT I was hoping to, but that's life. I just wish I could have gotten a little feedback about why I wasn't chosen. I would like to know what I need to do better so I can learn. I'll be posting in full force next week with a side by side of the Amy Tangerine Daybook and the K & Company Smash Book, a review on the Sew Stamper tool, and some projects. Oh and here's a funny little side note. I've been paper crafting for years and I just finally ordered my first Prima flowers!! I am so late to this trend!! I'll also post about those when they get here.

DT calls can be rough. It's hard to feel rejected. I've been there many times. But I think it's important to remember that there may be nothing wrong with your work, there are just too many excellent people to choose from. Awesome, inspiring crafters hear no all the time. There's just too much talent out there, and you never know exactly what one is looking for. Hang in there! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about the DT--I'm sure it's tough to put yourself out there. I haven't done anything like that yet. And you're going to LOVE Prima Flowers!! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit with your mom. Believe me when I say it's not about right and wrong when submitting for a design team. It is more what thet are looking for and need. If you get picked up for a design team the work can be hard if it is not your style. Keep submitting...you'll get picked up when you least expect it.
ReplyDeleteI have been there! Feedback would be great, wouldn't it? But I think they usually get so many apps, that it would be impossible.
ReplyDeleteI will say that I tried for several dt's before being selected for the one I am on now. So lots of rejection there :)
Same with getting published in scrap magazines!
