Introducing Pinkfresh Studio

I'm in love with this new washi!!  The colors are beautiful and on trend.  Here is the shop if you'd like to pick some up.   Pinkfresh Studio

It comes beautifully packaged in a muslin bag and the rolls have a ton of tape on them.  Here's the first thing I did when I got them in the mail.

I used a kraft card base and I embossed some Cord'nation card stock with a chevron folder from SU. The stamp is from Mama Elephant and of course the washi is from Pinkfresh Studio!!

Gorjuss girl card

It's been awhile since I've used Copic markers so I was feeling a little rusty but I think she turned out cute!  The background paper is from the Heidi Swapp Color Magic collection.  I painted it with 3 different red watercolors and then I dripped some Heidi Swapp gold spray over the the whole thing.  The flowers and bling are from Prima and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  There is just something so charming about the Gorjuss Girls, I love them!!

My Journey into art journaling

I've always been very envious of people with artist talent, even as a child I wished that I could draw or paint with any skill.  Well it wasn't in the cards for me and long forgotten for a long time.  Luckily I found card making and altered art because that has been my creative outlet for years.  Fast forward to a few months ago when I came across some awesome Youtube videos about art journaling, I instantly fell in love with the look and techniques showed but I was too intimidated to try it until this week!  I have to say that I am very happy with how the pages turned out, it was so much fun and freeing to just create without anything knowing what the outcome will be.

A peek at my Project Life

So this year I jumped on the Project Life bandwagon!  I started the year strong and was doing a one page weekly spread, but I've come to realize that my life is a little boring so I'm switching to a monthly format instead.  Here are a couple of my weekly pages.

I print all of my photos with the Canon Selphy printer.  I also have a subscription to the Studio Calico Project Life kit and use a lot of Snap cards too.

Silhouette Cameo and vinyl

So here are a couple of vinyl projects that I've done with my cameo so far.  As you can see I'm fairly obsessed with Star Was and Hello Kitty.  I made these cut files with images that I found on the internet.

Long time no see!!

Yikes!!  I've been a bad, bad blogger.  We've had a lot going on here and I have the past few months and the blog just got away from me.  I'll be back to regular posting because I have a ton of new projects to share.  First up is a card I made for a friend a few weeks back.  I used Amy Tangerine paper from Sketchbook and Amy Tangerine Rub-ons from the new collection Yes, Please.  I also added smileys to the clouds with a stamp from Paper Smooches and the sentiment and paper airplanes are from Lawn Fawn.
